Nicki Minaj’s Mother Confirms She Welcomed Her First Child [Photo]

Nicki Minaj made headlines earlier this week when she welcomed her first child with husband Kenneth Petty on Wednesday (Sept. 30). While she has not announced the gender of they baby, Nicki’s mother, Carol Maraj, took to Instagram to confirm the good news and congratulate her daughter.

“Thank you Lord for Blessing my daughter @nickiminaj with a beautiful bundle of joy! “You have always been a Blessing to myself and your family, and now you have received one of the best Blessings from God. “Children are a gift from the Lord. They are a reward from Him.” Psalms 127:3 #glamma let us rejoice!!!!”,

Just recently, fans were speculating that Nicki Minaj may have already given birth when Nicki’s mom shouted her out in a women crush Wednesday post a few weeks prior to her reportedly delivering.  The last part of Carol’s message seemed to have fans speculating when she wrote:

“Is it too late to post a #WCW? Thank you @david_lachapelle for capturing my heart on the outside. Onika has always been so nurturing , caring, loving, bold, beautiful, God-fearing and selfless… motherhood already looks beautiful on you!”

In July, Nicki Minaj announced that she and her husband Kenneth Petty were expecting a bundle of joy.

She posted to Instagram with the good news alongside a photo that visibly showed her round belly.

She simply announced,

“#Preggers”

Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty officially went public with their relationship in December 2018. The pair later tied the knot in October of 2019.
