EXCLUSIVE: Roland Martin Criticizes Lil Wayne For Endorsing Donald Trump: It’s Beyond Stupid
It seemed as though many people weren’t too pleased when rapper Lil Wayne announced that he took a meeting with Donald Trump. Roland Martin, in particular, was very vocal about his disdain toward the Young Money rapper’s decision, and now theJasmineBRAND exclusively sat down for a chat with him to further get his opinion on the matter.

When asked what his thoughts were about the meeting, Roland Martin expressed,
“100% dumb*ss. 100%. Donald Trump’s Platinum Plan is the aluminum foil for me. I don’t know what…it is beyond stup–the logic of Lil Wayne is beyond stupid [inaudible], and I would say it to his face.”
He continued on to say that he has not invited the rapper onto his show to discuss his views, citing that the rapper has nothing logical to add. He said,
“There’s nothing intellectual that little Lil Wayne would bring to Roland Martin Unfiltered. Now, because I’ve seen his interviews on ESPN and First Take, and none of them are logical. Would I have a problem interviewing him? No. But he would have to explain himself, I don’t know if that’s possible. So, if Lil Wayne actually wants to get educated from from somebody Black who knows policy right come on.”
Roland Martin continued,
“…because I would walk him through…see here’s what I would ask Lil Wayne. Is he from the 7th Ward in New Orleans? So let’s talk about Trump’s policies on your people where you from. Not your tax bracket Lil Wayne. Let’s talk about the tax bracket people where you from. See, that’s the conversation we would have, which is probably why he wouldn’t come on my show.”
“Just had a great meeting with @realdonaldtrump @potus besides what he’s done so far with criminal reform, the platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership. He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done. “
