Kandi Burruss Says Nene Leakes ‘Will Be Missed’ On ‘RHOA’, But Adds ‘We Don’t Really Talk’

Kandi Burruss and Nene Leakes might have had a huge fallout on Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”, but Kandi Burruss admitted that Nenne Leakes’ decision to leave the franchise is a hit to the series.

She said while on Steve Harvey’s Facebook Watch show, Steve On Watch:

“She will be missed on the show for sure. I’m not trying to take anything from her. She was a great addition to the show.”

Still, she also added:

“We don’t really talk.”

Nene Leakes left the show after negotiations with the network went left. She previously said she was only offered six episodes, while she normally does 18-23. Kandi Burruss added:

“I think in negotiations, sometimes we get what we want and sometimes we don’t get what we want and…when we don’t get what we want, we have to make the decision on if we want to part ways and I think [NeNe] made that decision for herself. I guess right now she didn’t care to come back this season, for whatever reason.”

Ahead of her decision to leave, Kandi Burruss previously said it would “suck” if Nene Leakes decided not to come back.

“Listen, she and I, we’re like oil and water sometimes, but I definitely would love for her to be back. I definitely feel like she is a major part of this show, I feel like it would suck if she decided not to come back. I feel like why wouldn’t she come back, but I feel like ultimately that is up to her, so we’ll see…. I have not talked to Nene either and I do not know what her plans are, so I don’t know and honestly.”

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” season 13 premieres on Bravo Dec. 6.
