Singer Melanie Fiona Ties The Knot After Postponing Her Wedding 3 Times Because Of Coronavirus
Melanie Fiona is officially a Mrs.!
It’s safe to say she refused to let a pandemic stop her from getting married.
After pushing back her wedding three times because of COVID-19, the 4AM singer tied the knot with her now-husband Jared Cotter, singer, and former American Idol contestant.
She told The Knot:
“As soon as we decided we were [marrying] in 2020, we planned—fast and furious. We locked in our wedding planner in January and we started moving full steam ahead… and then COVID happened.”
Their original destination was set for Italy in July but was postponed because of the high COVID-19 numbers. After postponing their ceremony another two times, they took matters into their own hands and had their big day on Dec. 12th.
Jared Cotter celebrated on Instagram with a video and the caption:
“I married my best friend over the weekend!
“This year had so many challenges!! One of ours was the challenge to get married with our friends and family in attendance. Since that couldn’t happen we just went ahead and got it done! We are so happy! Thanks for all the love and support. We’re gonna have a big party in 2021! Can’t wait.”
