Wendy Williams’ Brother Tommy Williams Apologizes, Says He’s ‘Taking The High Road’: My Behavior Was Selfish

Wendy Williams’ brother Tommy Williams is apologizing after a public feud stemming from their mother’s funeral. He posted a video on YouTube stating:

“It’s beyond us, it turns out to be everything that we already know Wendy. It’s morals and values.  It’s what’s right, it’s what’s wrong, and I was wrong.”
He added,
“I  was wrong to utilize a platform to levy a conversation regardless as to whether or not I could reach out to you, or get a response, regardless as to whether or not I thought it was right or wrong.”
He also responded to Wendy Williams’ comment that he and his wife need to “get their lives” before she gets it for them. He said,
“You talk about get your life, you told me and my wife to get our lives, right well you’re right, I’m gonna get my life, I’m gonna get my life in order by pulling back, taking a high road doing what mommy would want us to do, what she would want me to do. “

Adding,
“I’m gonna do what I feel as though I need to do to sleep easy at night, to let mommy rest easy, to keep daddy happy and uplifted. He deserves that Wendy.”
Tommy Williams added that after reflecting on their back and forth, he realized his actions were “selfish.”
“I’ve had time to think I’ve had time to analyze my my actions and realize that my behavior was somewhat selfish, it was selfish I put my thoughts and my feelings for daddy ahead of what should be and what was right.”

Part 2

As we previously reported, on a recent episode of The Wendy Williams Show, Wendy Williams addressed her brother’s claims that she skipped their mother’s funeral. While speaking on-air she said directly to her brother,

“Tommy, you know I was at Mommy’s service and you know she looked beautiful in her casket. And you know that you fist fought a loving member of our family [who is] half your age.”

She continued and said,

“You started a fight over an open casket right there with my mother. Thank God we were at a civilized funeral home and the men of the funeral home blocked so Mommy wouldn’t fall out and there’d be a catastrophe. You should know better at 53!”

Wendy Williams also said that her ex-husband, Kevin Hunter, helped break up the fight between her brother and the unnamed family member.

“[Kevin] walked up to the front and separated my brother and this young family member, who was very confused being a young man. And he moved it all out there to the lobby.”
