Tyrese Tells Estranged Wife “This Was Suppose To Be Us” As Kirk Franklin & His Wife Celebrate 25th Anniversary Post+ Says He Plans To Get Her Back
We reported earlier this month that Tyrese and his estranged wife Samantha Lee Gibson announced that they were headed for divorce , but it turned out she allegedly filed months ago in September of 2020.
The divorce petition reportedly stated that weeks prior to that, Tyrese allegedly cut his then-wife off financially and allegedly left her and their two-year-old daughter Soraya locked out of the family’s Georgia home.
Now the singer wants his family back and his is make it known publicly.
Tyrese left a lengthy comment under gospel legend Kirk Franklin’s, wife’s photo, as the couple celebrated 25 years of marriage. He wrote,
“Happy Happy Happy Anniversary!!!!!!!! Magic Magic and more magic….. Dear Samantha this was suppose to be us… remember the franklins was our marriage GOALS!!!!!!! Smiling smiling…… I’m gonna get her back watch me! [I think]
In court documents, Tyrese denied claims that he locked his family out of their home. He also said that he has a problem with Samantha Lee Gibson’s request for $20,000 a month in child support, stating the number is “unreasonably high.”
Tyrese went into detail about the split and said he flew home from filming a movie in late August and was met with an intense three-hour conversation with his wife. Samantha Lee Gibson allegedly threatened to call the cops on the singer during the disagreement.
Because of “multiple public incidents involving police brutality and racially motivated killings of unarmed African-American people,” Tyrese says that he left the house in an Uber to avoid being a part of any police interaction.
Tyrese and Samantha Lee Gibson announced they were ending their marriage on Dec. 29th. They married in 2017. Their daughter was born in 2018.
