Funk Flex shocked lots of his fans when he showed the details of him undergoing liposuction in December 2020. Now, he’s opening up about why he was so public about his weight loss journey.
Funk Flex explained his decision to get the operation and said while on The Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast:
“I have had lipo, and I dieted for a long time. I was 290, my highest has ever been 290, maybe ’98, 2001, I may have brought it down to 245 at first, and maybe I came to 220. I was getting in that 210, bouncing back and forth. But I had like these pockets under my arms in just places that, you know, it just woulnd’t remove.”
He continued,
“Some people say, go to the gym harder. God bless the guys that go to the gym. I have a total amount of respect for you, I don’t know how you’re going to the gym in COVID with it closed, but I’m still with you…”
Funk Flex explained,
“I went public with it just because it thought everyone did… I can’t say I’ve seen, but I can say, you know…To my knowledge, Drake and Kanye [West] and LL [Cool J], that’s what they were doing. When I got in touch with the guy who did it for me, I was recommended because current football players and current boxers go to him.”
