Ne-Yo’s Pregnant Wife Crystal Smith Reacts To Claims He Forced His Ex Monyetta Shaw To Get Her Tubes Tied: He Didn’t Make Anyone Do Anything

While Ne-Yo and his wife Crystal Smith are happily expecting their third child together, the couple can’t seem to get away from his past.

Ne-Yo, who shares daughter Madilyn, 10, and son Mason, 9, with his ex-fiancée Monyetta Shaw, has received backlash in the past after she revealed she had her tubes tied so they wouldn’t have any more children. While Ne-Yo has been the subject of criticism, Monyetta Shaw has previously said multiple times that they made the decision together.

Now that he’s expecting his fifth child, some fans can’t help but bring up the notion that he’s able to have more kids and Monyetta Shaw, who got engaged last year, isn’t.

His wife, Crystal Smith, has responded to the criticism.

One IG user commented,

“What about his first wife he convinced to sterilize herself then left her lmao?”

She clarified,

“I’m his first wife boo”

She said in a separate comment,

“I’m being accurate since you want to be in something so bad. I respect the mother of his kids and facts are facts. He didn’t request nor make anyone do anything. She has moved on and is in love, happy as hell. You should try it. Simple-minded child.”

Despite the criticism, the three have been able to move forward and even made an appearance on The Real together in 2018.
