Kanye West spent millions on his presidential dreams. According to reports, American rapper Kanye West had a budget of $14.5 million to help fund his 2020 presidential campaign. Of that amount, $12.5 million reportedly came from his own pockets and a little more than $2 million was from outside contributions. Kanye West’s final Federal Election Commission report notes exactly how the ‘I Wonder’ rapper spent his campaign funds.
More than $7.5 million of his budget was spent on fees related to “ballot access,” $35,000 of Kanye West’s money went towards a fee so the rapper’s name would be added to the Oklahoma ballot. Kanye West’s final Federal Election Commission report also claims that the designer didn’t spend any money on TV, radio, or digital presidential campaign ads. However, a huge chunk of his budget did reportedly go towards legal fees. By the end of his campaign, Kanye West spent $13.2 of his budget, according to his report filings.

As previously reported, Kanye West announced he was running for president on July 4th of last year, 122 days before Election Day to be exact. He ran under the “Birthday Party” and made headlines following one of his campaign rallies when he announced that his soon-to-be ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, almost aborted their first child.
