‘Atlanta’ Cast Heading To London, Amsterdam & Paris To Film Seasons 3 & 4

‘Atlanta’ fans are one step closer to seeing the new season of the hit series. According to reports, at the end of this month, the Donald Glover created series is headed to Europe to begin production and start filming.

Reportedly, they will film in London, Amsterdam and Paris for upcoming seasons three and four.

FX Chief John Landgraf detailed their expected shoot/film schedule, noting that COVID caused challenges. He said last year,

“One of them shoots primarily in Europe and one primarily in Atlanta. It is the intent to shoot them all at one time, back to back. However, the availability has been pushed back because of COVID. That had to do with our sense of when we could return to work safely and then we had to co-ordinate all of the cast for what is shooting two seasons at once. Heartbreakingly for me, it has been pushed back a little bit”.

Late last year, Donald Glover gave “Atlanta” fans a glimpse of what they can expect in the future. The 37-year-old singer and “Atlanta” creator premiered the show on September 6, 2016.
The show stars Donald Glover as Earnest “Earn” Marks.

Marks is a college dropout who becomes responsible for his cousin Alfred’s (Brian Tyree Henry) rap career with the artist name of “Paper Boi”.

The show follows the pair as they navigate Atlanta and attempt to bring success to the up-and-coming rapper. It also features stars Lakeith Stanfield and Zazie Beetz.
Donald Glover opened up about the third and fourth seasons. He tweeted:
“while im here: ‘atlanta’ s3+s4 are going to be some of the best television ever made. sopranos only ones who can touch us.”
“Atlanta” has been postponed over the last year. The third and fourth seasons were delayed because of coronavirus. Production was not able to continue shooting. Originally, the fourth season was supposed to premiere in January 2021.
