Joe Budden Suggests He & Podcast Co-Host Rory Farrell Are Going To Therapy
Joe Budden and his podcast co-host Rory Farrell are working on their longtime friendship.
Rory Farrell and Mal Clay made headlines after they were MIA from the Joe Budden Podcast, sparking speculation that they left the show. Joe Budden recently spoke out about the drama, suggesting he and Rory Farrell are in therapy.
Joe Budden said on Instagram Live,
“I don’t think I’m supposed to divulge our therapy plans publicly, but we are going to therapy. I am a therapy baby, man… Some of y’all know this. I know some of y’all only get your perception of me from the internet, but I’m a therapy baby. When something is wrong, we’re calling the therapist. Let’s get to the bottom of it.”
He said he was the one who reached out to Rory Farrell to see if he wanted go with him.
“I called my man [Rory] up and said, ‘You wanna go to therapy or nah?’ We out. That’s it. We’ll get to pod business later.”
Joe Budden first broke his silence on Rory Farrell and Mal Clay’s absence on the “Tea Leaves” episode of his podcast that aired on March 24th. He said,
“I’ll eliminate some of the suspense. This is Rory’s seat, and this is Mal’s seat. Whenever they feel like returning to their seats, then they’ll return to their seats. And then what will happen is the same thing when your star player comes back to the team.”
He added that he “loves when podcasts go through this type of turmoil,” because it “shapes character.”
Joe Budden confessed he didn’t see the change coming pointing out that they’re like brothers to him.
He continued,
“Sometimes in friendship and business, everyone needs to take a step back and go to their respective corners. Sometimes everyone’s perspective and perception on how to go about that and how it should be executed is different.”
