Rapper Black Rob Suggests He’s Homeless + GoFundMe Created For Him Raises Nearly $16K In 48 Hours

Former Bad Boy artist Black Rob gave an update on his health status after sharing a video from a hospital bed.

He first left fans concerned about his condition while he saluted late rapper DMX

He said in a video that went viral,

“I don’t know what the pain is… pain is pain. It’s helping me out. It’s making me realize I got a lot to go on man.”

When asked how he feels about DMX, who passed away Friday (April 9th), he adds,

“I feel everything about X man…X, one love man… Positive. Big love to X man. It’s all good.”

While he is now out of the hospital, fans are still concerned about what’s next for him. He said in a new video,

“Oh man, I’ve been dealing with this for five years. Four strokes … I don’t know what to tell you man. S*** is crazy. This s*** is hard. I don’t got no house to live in — except maybe an apartment. Me and my man be trying to get together. I’m telling you man, this s*** is strange.”

He continued,

“It’s hard, you know what I’m saying? I don’t know what the people want to do, what the people going to say. I need some rest, man. Really, man. I need some rest. My side is killing me. Oh s***. I don’t want to talk about it no more. ”

Mark Curry, who was also previously signed to Bad Boy Records explained,

“It’s overwhelming to how many people care about our legends but he just got discharged from the hospital. This is something that Rob’s been going through so I don’t know who put it out there like whatever it may be. He’s good but we gon’ talk later on today.”

A GoFundMe was created for him on Saturday (April 10th), and has since raised nearly $16,000 as of Monday afternoon (April 12th). The description reads,

“Robert Ross (born June 8, 1968) known professionally as Black Rob, is an American rapper who was formerly signed to Bad Boy. He is best known for the 2000 hit single “Whoa!”, which reached the Billboard Hot 100.[2]

This Gofundme is to help him find a home, pay for medical help & stability during these trying times. We’ve lost a lot legends and we can’t afford to lose anymore. This is my way to try and help.”
