Forest Whitaker & Keisha Whitaker’s Divorce Finalized After More Than 20 Years Of Marriage
Award-winning actor Forest Whitaker’s divorce is official.
His and his wife Keisha Whitaker’s split was finalized on April 15th, according to reports.
The two listed “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split, saying it was “impossible for the parties to live together as husband and wife.”
Their settlement agreement, including any spousal support, and division of property, assets, and attorney fees, will be kept private.
The Butler actor filed for divorce in December 2018. He and Keisha Whitaker had been married for 22 years at the time. He said back then that he didn’t want to pay spousal support and they did not have a prenuptial agreement.
They first met on the set of 1994’s Blown Away, where they played each other’s love interests. They tied the knot in a ceremony in Jamaica in 1996. They share two adult children, daughters Sonnet and True. They also each have a child from previous relationships.
They are said to have signed their settlement agreement months ago, and are expected to have a peaceful breakup.
