As one set of legal issues resolves for the R&B singer, it looks like another is ready to pop up!
As you may recall, Trey Songz (real name Tremaine Aldon Neverson) was arrested in January for fighting a police officer at a Kansas City Chiefs game. The incident allegedly went down because Trey Songz was not complying with COVID-19 guidelines and refused to leave the premises. However, he was ultimately not charged after his arrest. On top of this incident, Trey Songz also just recently settled a lawsuit over an alleged sexual assault.
However, Trey Songz may have another legal issue to have to take care of now. As reported by TMZ, the R&B star is being sued for battery by a bartender. According to the alleged victim, Trey Songz got violent at a Cardi B concert at the Hollywood Palladium on May 9th, 2019. Reportedly, the bartender told Trey Songz he was not allowed to sit on the bar to watch the performance, but he ignored him. Then, in response to the bartender trying to get the singer’s attention by touching his back, Trey Songz allegedly punched the bartender in the head. As a result of the incident, the bartender is suing the “Bottoms Up” singer for physical pain and emotional/psychological trauma.
It seems like 2021 has been quite the controversial year for Trey Songz so far. In addition to his current and prior legal issues, the singer also found himself at the center of attention over a pair of viral videos. Specifically, an alleged sex tape and a video of Trey Songz spitting into two women’s mouths came out in February and March of this year, respectively.
Trey Songz has not yet commented on the bartender’s lawsuit.
