Nicki Minaj Posts & Deletes Mugshot From 2003 Arrest: It Took Years To Be Able To Look At Things Like This
Nicki Minaj made a return to the spotlight last week after a relatively long hiatus. After getting married, becoming a mommy to the ever-so-cute Papa Bear, and unexpectedly losing her father tragically in a hit-and-run-crash, Nicki Minaj is reflecting on her days before fame.
Rapper Nicki Minaj took to her Instagram and did a post-and-delete of her mugshot from years ago. As she transitions back into the spotlight of mainstream media, she took time to speak about her past. In the picture’s caption, she wrote:
“It took me years to be able to look at things like this…Criminal possession of a weapon with intent to use. I did use it tho. This is so inspiring now looking back. The girl was leaking blood & spent days in the hospital. The word on the street was that I was gonna be deported [originally from Trinidad]. I was so scared. Lol.”
She continued,
“I was “on the run.” I rlly thought I was in a ghetto movie. I hid my car and went to stay wit my Aunt in Brooklyn Chile. Bwahahaaaaaa. #Growth #BeamMeUpScotty out now. Link in bio. What’s your favorite old and new joint from the mixtape y’all?”
Nicki Minaj took to Instagram Live Friday (May 14th) to speak on her comeback to music. During her IG live, Nicki Minaj began with an announcement that this year marks the 12th anniversary of her Beam Me Up Scotty mixtape.
