John Davis, One Of The Real Voices Behind The Group Milli Vanilli, Dies Of COVID-19 At 66 [CONDOLENCES]

John Davis, who was one of the real singing voices behind the German-French R&B duo Milli Vanilli, has passed away at the age of 66. John Davis’ daughter, Jasmin, revealed on May 24 that her dad, unfortunately, died after losing his battle with COVID-19. In a post, she wrote,

“My dad passed away this evening through the coronavirus. He made a lot of people happy with his laughter and smile, his happy spirit, love and especially through his music. He gave so much to the world! Please give him the last round of applause. We will miss him dearly.”

Jasmin continued her praises towards her father on a GoFundMe page for his funeral. She wrote,

“Last night we lost: a father, a brother, a grandfather, a friend…and one of a kind musician. We are deeply saddened by his passing and will miss him dearly, especially [his] smile and laughter.”

Milli Vanilli was a popular musical singing group in the late 80s/early 90s. Their stardom seemingly came to a quick end when people found out that the faces of the group, Fab Morvan and Rob Pilatus, did not sing any of the vocals in their songs. Following the shocking discovery, Milli Vanilli even returned the Grammy that they won in 1990 for ‘Best New Artist.’ Rob Pilatus died at the age of 33 in 1998 of a suspected drug overdose.

A Tweet was sent out from the Fab Morvan Twitter account to share an uplifting message towards John Davis.

Fab Morvan and John Davis seem to have had a personal relationship and performed together in 2015.

Our thoughts and prayers are with John Davis’ loved ones at this time.
