Meek Mill Accuses Media Of Not Covering Positive Stories After He Trends For ‘Vibrating Panties’, Instead Of How He Helped Free A Wrongly Incarcerated Man From Prison
Meek Mill appears to criticize the media for trending over his “vibrating panties” tweet instead of his work to help free a wrongly incarcerated man, Eric Riddick, from prison. On May 29, rapper Meek Mill, born Robert Williams, took to his Twitter account and seemingly accused blogs of not running more positive stories on him. He also called out fans for believing everything they read online about him. He Tweeted,
“Yesterday I help a innocent man gain his freedom back he had life in prison …. on the net I was trending for a pause basically lol them blogs got y’all … go check blogs pages …don’t post positive post just the goofy shit… y’all sheep and be serious lol”
The previous day, May 28, Meek Mill shared his excitement online for his contribution in helping free Eric Riddick. He Tweeted,
“We turned them back tables into pyramids and then we left the building!”
According to reports, Eric Riddick served over 29 years of a life sentence after being wrongfully convicted of the murder of William Catlett. Riddick reportedly met Meek Mill in 2017 when the rapper was incarcerated in the same prison for violating probation. Meek Mill has previously shared that while he was in prison Riddick became a mentor and friend to him.
Riddick’s mother always said he was innocent and advocated for his release for years. Her persistence led to Philadelphia Councilman David Oh joining the fight. The case also gained national attention once Meek Mill started to advocate for Riddick’s release as well. Eventually, their work secured a pardon from Governor Tom Wolf. Riddick was released from prison on Friday, May 28, 2021.

Before Riddick was released from prison, Meek Mill found himself trending online earlier this week for a completely different reason. The ‘Going Bad’ rapper sent out an interesting tweet asking for help locating “vibrating panties.”
