Babyface Splitting W/ Wife, Actress Nicole Pantenburg, After 7 Years Of Marriage
Kenny “Babyface” Edmunds and his wife–Nicole Pantenburg–have recently announced their decision to end their marriage.
The pair made the announcement in a joint statement yesterday (Tuesday, July 13th).
“After much thought and with great sadness, we have decided to end our marriage. We continue to care and have respect for one another and share eternal love for our daughter and her well-being. We ask for personal privacy for ourselves and our daughter as we navigate these new steps as a family.”
Despite their announcement, it is reportedly unclear whether they’re pursuing a full-on divorce or a legal separation.
Babyface and Nicole Pantenburg tied the knot back in 2014–the same year Babyface released his collaborative album with Toni Braxton, Love, Marriage & Divorce.
From their relationship, the soon-to-be-former couple share one 12-year-old daughter.
Babyface is a successful producer and songwriter, and the co-founder of LaFace Records. He penned hits for artists such as TLC, Toni Braxton, and Boyz II Men–such as “End of the Road” — and has written and produced for a plethora of other artists throughout the years.
For her part, Nicole Pantenburg was an actress from the late ’90s to mid-2000s. It appears as though the vast majority of her acting roles were as extras or dancers–most recently for That 70’s Show.
It is unclear what led to the pair’s decision to split.
