Michael B. Jordan Says He Rented An Aquarium For Valentine’s Date W/ Lori Harvey Due To ‘Pent-Up Romance’: I Wasn’t Able To Do Those Things In The Past
Michael B. Jordan is opening up about one of the most romantic moments he had with his girlfriend Lori Harvey.
The Just Mercy star made headlines after he rented an entire aquarium for a date with Lori Harvey to celebrate Valentine’s Day this year. She was clearly impressed as she shared a photo on her Instagram stories with the caption,
“My baby rented one the aquarium so we could do a private tour and see the turtles and then we walked into this.”

He spoke on the date in an upcoming episode of Jemele Hill is Unbothered and said,
“I had a lot of pent-up romance. It was a lot. I wasn’t able to do a lot of those things in the past. It was fun. I’m a creative guy…”
“That was kind of on the fly… Then you gotta be more creative because it wasn’t a lot of things that was open… The circumstances of a lot of things forced me to be a bit of a thinker on that one. It was good. It was a good time.”
He suggested he has to up the romance for next time. He added,
“I kind of put myself in a tough situation, now I gotta figure out next year.”
Still, he didn’t seem worried about topping it for Valentine’s Day 2022.
“We’ll figure it out.”
This is the first time fans have seen Michael B. Jordan in a serious relationship. He previously explained why he’s so public with his romance and said,
“I’m still private, and I want to protect that, but it just felt like it was a moment of just wanting to put it out there and move on. I am extremely happy.”
“I think when you get older, you feel more comfortable about the [public nature] of the business that we’re in. So for me, it was a moment to, I guess, take ownership of that and then get back to work.”

Lori Harvey echoed similar sentiments in a separate interview and said,
“I think we’re both very private people naturally. So we just decide, if we take a picture or whatever it is, do you want to post this? Do we not? We have a conversation about it, like, ‘You want to post this or we keep this to ourselves?’”
“We know there are people that love and support us and want to see us. So [we want to] give just enough, but keep the majority of it just for us. We’re trying to find a balance.”
She went on to explain why she posts more frequently concerning their relationship and said,
“I think just as I’ve gotten older and interests change, I think this was something that I just decided to be a little bit more public with because it’s a more serious relationship. So I’m just handling it differently.”
