Young Thug Says He ‘Wants To Be The Richest Black Man In The World’
Young Thug has his eyes set on becoming the richest black man in the world. During a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Young Thug, born Jeffery Williams, was asked if he plans to embody the lifestyles of well-known and successful rappers Kanye West and Jay-Z.

Young Thug answered the question candidly and said,
“Yeah, I want to be the richest black man in the world.”
Young Thug may not be there yet but he’s definitely putting the work in to achieve his financial goal. The 29-year-old Atlanta native is considered by many to be a key influential figure of his generation for his music releases and fashion taste. He won a Grammy in 2019 for his songwriting contribution on ‘This Is America’. He also launched his clothing brand SPIDER the following year.

In addition to that, he will soon be cashing out as an actor as well. Young Thug is set to make his acting debut in the upcoming musical drama, ‘Throw It Back’. According to reports, Young Thug currently has a net worth of $8 million.

As previously reported, Billboard released a list of the 40 highest-paid musicians of 2020. The list also included the top paid rappers who earned the most throughout the first year of the pandemic. Young Thug didn’t make the list but a few of his friends were ranked as the top 5 paid rappers from last year.
Post Malone was the number 1 paid rapper, and the second-highest-paid musician overall, during 2020. He brought in a reported $23.2 million.

Drake was next on the list and earned a total of $14.2 million during 2020.

YoungBoy Never Broke Again, also known as NBA YoungBoy, racked in $11.9 million last year.

Lil Baby was ranked 4th and earned $11.7 million.

Eminem rounded out the top 5 and made $9.7 million in 2020.
