Jay-Z is reportedly looking to hire 100 workers for the reopening of his Manhattan club!
Earlier today (Friday, July 30th), Page Six reported that Jay-Z is seeking to fill 100 job openings at his New York establishment, 40/40 Club. The luxurious sports bar has become a known hotspot for various celebrities in its 18 years, including Justin Bieber, Mary J. Blige, and Floyd Mayweather. Jay-Z and Beyoncé.
There will reportedly be a hiring event from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. this Saturday and Sunday (July 31st & August 1st, respectively) at 40/40 Club. The establishment is opening back up to the public this upcoming Wednesday (August 4th).
Regarding the Manhattan establishment’s reopening, one source told Page Six:
“Jay is attempting to stimulate the food and nightlife economy in NYC.”
Additionally, sources also said Jay-Z is allegedly planning on paying the club’s servers $20 an hour, which is $7.50 more than New York’s state minimum wage. The servers will also pocket tips from clubgoers.
