Eminem’s Adopted Child Comes Out As Non-Binary & Gender Fluid, Changes Their Name To Stevie
Eminem‘s child has begun sharing their new life!
Earlier this week, Eminem‘s adopted child revealed they are non-binary, and they also changed their name to Stevie Laine. The announcement came via Stevie Laine‘s TikTok, where they posted a picture-filled video. At the very beginning of the TikTok, the 19-year old wrote:
“watch me become more comfortable with myself <3.”
A series of photos proceeds with the first set being from before Stevie Laine came out as non-binary and still went by their birth name, Whitney. The photos are accompanied by the message:
“Whitney she/her.”
Then, more recent photos begin to appear, with another message reading:
“Whitney they/she.”
After a short while, the video begins displaying current photos, with a final message that reads:
“Stevie they/she.”
Additionally, they captioned the TikTok:
“forever growing and changing <3 #greenscreen #genderfluid #bi #life.”
Stevie‘s pronouns indicate that they’re comfortable going by either “they” or “she”–though they prefer people using they/them pronouns.

Stevie came into Eminem‘s life as Whitney Scott–the daughter of his on-and-off partner, Kim Scott. The pair split after the birth of their daughter, Hailie Mathers, and they reconciled some years later after Kim Scott gave birth to Stevie. Eminem ultimately decided to legally adopt Stevie. Additionally, it’s worth noting that Eminem also adopted Kim Scott‘s niece, Alaina.
Eminem has not publicly commented on Stevie‘s coming out.
