SPOILER ALERT: ‘Insecure’ Season Five
Insecure fans, don’t read any further unless you want to know about a major spoiler that’s allegedly going down on the series’ final season!
As previously reported, Insecure is gearing up for its fifth and final season. The season premiere will air on Oct. 24th on HBO. Issa Rae, who created Insecure, unveiled a teaser trailer for the fifth season yesterday (Thursday, Sept. 2nd) on Twitter.
As fans prepare for Insecure‘s fifth season, news of what’s to come has begun circulating. Sources claim that a major character on the series will die sometime during the show’s final season. However, it is currently unknown which character will pass away.
This spoiler comes shortly after actress Yvonne Orji gave fans an idea of what to expect on the upcoming season of Insecure. She said:
“With every episode of every season, our fans will be upset at something and then they will be happy at other things, and they will be stewing over other things. Our fans have a myriad of emotions. We do not disappoint in keeping [that going]. Kind of like how we felt with the pandemic. Are we sad, are we happy? Are we at peace, are we tired? It’s like ‘Pick your flavor of emotions: Insecure season 5.'”
She continued, saying fans can expect emotions of:
“Unearthing, shedding, fulfilling, and growing. Unearthing lots of different things–emotions, feelings… Desires, wants. There’s a lot of things going on.”
Insecure centers on the lives of two Black women in Los Angeles, Issa Dee and Molly Carter (played by Issa Rae and Yvonne Orji, respectively). The series debuted back in fall 2016, and it has become a hit series since then.
