Janet Jackson Drops 1st Teaser For Her Self-Titled Docu: This Is My Story, Take It Or Leave It [WATCH]
Janet Jackson teased her upcoming documentary, “Janet”, on social media. As previously reported, the four-hour documentary is set to premiere on Lifetime and A&E.
The release date is Jan. 2022 and the video shows unseen footage of Janet Jackson’s life. Based on the trailer, this project has been five years in the making. The superstar explains,
“This is my story told by me, not through someone else’s eyes. This is the truth. Take it or leave it. Love it or hate it. This is me.”
There was even a clip of her and her brother, Michael Jackson, shown along with many snippets of footage where Janet is younger.

Interviews from some prominent friends and family of the 55-year-old star are also seen in the trailer. Iconic singer and dancer, Paula Abdul, says,
“She is a force to be reckoned with.”
Missy Elliot says the “Control” singer is full of superstar talent and looks the part.
“This is what a superstar looks like.”
Fellow singer Mariah Carey says,
“She’s an empowered woman.”
It also features behind-the-scenes footage of concert events and her role in Poetic Justice with late rapper Tupac.

It’s being called the “Documentary Event of a Lifetime” and Janet and her brother, Randy Jackson, are executive producers.
