Yung Baby Tate Says Rihanna DMed Her After She Was Body Shamed: I’m Really Crying Y’all

It looks like Rihanna is Team Yung Baby Tate! 

The rapper was the subject of scrutiny earlier this week after she shared a snapshot of her at Afropunk.

She had no problem addressing some of the criticism head-on.

Still, it’s safe to say she needed a little encouragement, and she got it from none other than Rihanna. She revealed on Twitter that the Fenty beauty mogul sent her a private message.

Yung Baby Tate first wrote,

“I’m literally shaking RIGHT NOW WTF… I’m really crying y’all Rihanna just dmd me”

While she didn’t reveal Rihanna’s exact message, she added,

“NOBODY CAN TELL ME S*** 4 THE REST OF MY LIFE OKAY! Rihanna is one of my biggest LIFE inspirations like I did  fkn PowerPoint project on this woman in 8th grade man I can’t believe the words she just shared with me. #RichGutGang 4L”

Rihanna is no stranger to supporting thick and full figures. She spoke on how the evolution of her own shape inspired inclusive sizes for the fashion line she previously had with LVMH. She said in 2019,

“It just changed how I dress in terms of my proportions. You wear what looks good on you and that’s it. I’m thick and curvy right now, and so if I can’t wear my own stuff then, I mean, that’s not gonna work, right? And my size is not the biggest size. It’s actually closer to the smallest size we have: We go up to a [French size] 46. We’re saying we can meet you at any one drop that we put out.”
