In addition to the song leaks, some fans also noticed that the Compton native had updated his Spotify photo for the first time since 2017–which is also the year he released DAMN., his most recent studio album.

This theory was further supported by people pointing out that tomorrow (Friday, Oct. 22nd) is the nine-year anniversary of the album that catapulted the rapper to mainstream success: good kid, m.A.A.d city. The album was led by hit songs like “Sing About Me, I’m Dying of Thirst” and “Poetic Justice.”
