Cardi B Offers To Officiate ‘Harold & Kumar’ Star Kal Penn’s Wedding: I’ll Get My Suit
Could Cardi B soon officiate a gay celebrity wedding?
Yesterday (Wednesday, Nov. 3rd), actor Kal Penn–who memorably starred as Kumar Patel in the Harold & Kumar film series–had an intriguing interaction with Cardi B. Initially, the 44-year-old actor tweeted:
“Cardi B was on my flight to LA. I fell asleep and had a dream that she officiated our wedding on the plane and the three of us walked out of LAX holding hands.”
It’s worth noting that Kal Penn officially came out as gay earlier this week and revealed that he and his partner of 11 years are engaged to be married.

Shortly after Kal Penn‘s tweet, Cardi B responded to him! The “Up” rapper quote tweeted the actor and wrote:
“First, why didn’t you say hi! Second, I’m licensed to do that sooo…….. let me know.”

In turn, Kal Penn replied:
“You’re the best. Was gonna say hi but didn’t want to be disrespectful (your do not disturb light was on). But holy s**t let’s do it! We’re down if you’re down!”
Cardi B then tweeted:
“I’m down I’ll get my suit.”

Cardi B announced that she’s licensed to officiate weddings last month, and performed her very first ceremony.

This social media interaction comes just days after Cardi B made headlines for critiquing the current state of the rap game. She stated on Instagram Live:
“I feel like n***as nowadays making music with this type of beat that is mad depressing. All these rappers nowadays, all of them wanna die. They all wanna die–all of ’em! All these n***as need to stop doing lean and smoking weed. You know, this the thing about these rappers: they get money and they start buying too much motherf***in’ weed and too much lean and they make that slow s**t. I wanna turn up–tired of the same song every time I go to the motherf***ing club.”
Cardi B added:
“The club needs me! The strippers need me. The bartenders need me! The h*es need me. The motherf***ing get-money n***as need me. I wanna shake my a**, n***a! Am I lying?”

She later clarified her remarks via Twitter:
“I just want a balance sorry if I worded things wrong. I just love music that drop hard and turn the club up like dreams & nightmare & First day out by tee grizzly. A perfect balance of rap and turn up.”
