Travis Scott Sued By 9-Year-Old On Life Support + Hit With 19 Other Lawsuits Over Deadly Astroworld Incident
Travis Scott continues to get into more and more legal trouble over his deadly Astroworld Festival. According to reports, so far 8 people have been confirmed dead with their ages ranging from only 14-27 and 13 people have been hospitalized. As of Monday (Nov 8th), 2o lawsuits have been filed in Harris County District Court in relation to the Astroworld. The 30-year-old rapper was named personally in 17 of the lawsuits. All of the lawsuits name the company in charge of organizing the event, Live Nation Entertainment, as a defendant.

The lawsuits are accusing the individuals and corporations of negligence and gross negligence that resulted in injuries for plaintiffs. One of the most shocking lawsuits came from the youngest victim, 9-year-old Ezra Blount. Ezra attended the concert with his father, Treston Blount. He was on top of his dad’s shoulders but once Travis Scott took the stage, people began pushing toward the front squeezing Treston’s body so tightly that he fainted and Ezra fell into the crowd.

Reportedly, Ezra is currently in a medically induced coma and on life support after being trampled nearly to death. He’s also suffering severe damage to his liver, kidney and brain. Nationally renowned personal injury attorneys, Ben Crump, Alex Hillard, and Bob Hillard have sued Travis Scott on the 9-year-old’s behalf. Ben Crump posted an Instagram photo describing the charges they are filing for the young victim and how the incident has negatively impacted the young boy and his family. In the statement he said,
“This young child and his family will face life-altering trauma from this day forward, a reality that nobody expects when they buy concert tickets. Concerts and music festivals such as this are meant to be a safe place for people of all ages to enjoy music in a controlled environment. None of that was true about the Astroworld Festival. This little boy is fighting for his life, and his parents will never know the same child they entered Astroworld with.”
As previously reported, Travis Scott has stated that he will be paying for the funerals of the victims and offer mental health services to the concert goers that were affected. He’s also refunding the money for all tickets.
