Tory Lanez Speaks Out, Reacting To Reports He Yelled “Dance, B**ch” Before Shooting At Megan Thee Stallion

Update #1. Tory Lanez has taken to Twitter, addressing the latest reports about his trial. He wrote on Twitter:

NAH … i need someone to REPORT what was REALLY said in court today, 45 minutes of my lawyer stating contradictory evidence that proves my innocence should never come back as one false story forced to the media

Original Story: New details are surfacing in relation to the July 2020 shooting incident involving Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion, in which Megan was shot in her feet during a roadside altercation after a party last year. According to reports, Tory is set to have his preliminary hearing in his felony assault case in Los Angeles today (12/14). During the hearing, prosecutors claim that an “intoxicated” Tory Lanez (born, Daystar Peterson)  allegedly shouted, “Dance, b**ch!” before shooting at the feet of Megan Thee Stallion (born Megan Pete). The ‘Alone At Prom’ rapper was also accused of using a semiautomatic weapon during the altercation in Hollywood Hills, Calif., around 4:30 a.m. on July 12, 2020.

Los Angeles Police Department, Detective Ryan Stogner testified Tuesday (12/14), based on his account during conversations with Megan, Stogner said,

“(Megan) observed Mr. Peterson holding a firearm and then she observed him start to shoot.”

Reportedly, he said Megan described Peterson as “half in, half out,” on the step board of the vehicle, when he allegedly fired.

“Megan immediately felt pain to her feet, observed blood, fell to the ground, and then crawled to an adjacent driveway of a residence…She described her injuries as bleeding profusely.”

He adds that the Houston rapper claims Tory Lanez apologized for “doing it”.

“Megan stated the defendant [Tory] apologized for doing it and offered her money and begged her to please not say anything and made a reference to the fact he was already on probation and he begged her not to say anything.”

Tory was present in the courtroom, quietly listening to the testimony. The rapper’s defense lawyer, Shawn Holley, questioned Detective Stonger about whether or not he knew it was Megan who invited Tory to the party at Kylie Jenner’s house before the alleged shooting took place. According to reports, Holley said,

“You never asked Megan how much she had to drink that day, did you?”

Stogner replied,

“Not specifically, no.”

Holley then asks,

“But you are aware alcohol can impair a person’s perception and their ability to recall?”

Reportedly, Tory’s attorney Shawn Holley seemed to be “hinting that another person in the car ( Megan Thee Stallion’s former friend-Kelsey Nicole)” could have shot the gun. Holley also claimed that the other woman in the vehicle (Kelsey)  “had a romantic interest in Tory” and that and that she became jealous and claimed the Houston rapper “back-doored” her. Holley reportedly claimed Tory told police he was “trying to protect my girl.”

Megan Thee Stallion, Kelsey Nicole

According to sources, an LAPD detective testified during the hearing about a jailhouse phone call Tory had with Megan’s former friend Kelsey Nicole in which Tory apologized for shooting Megan. Allegedly, the call was recorded. Judge Keith Borjon found probable cause within the preliminary hearing to send Tory Lanez to trial. The Judge has ordered him to return to court on Jan. 13, 2022.
