Ashanti’s Mic Malfunctions While Singing National Anthem, Football Fans Step In To Help Singer Out
Ashanti isn’t letting a mic slipup stop her from giving a show!
Having your mic malfunction while performing is a nightmare for most entertainers. Over the weekend that nightmare became a reality for Grammy-Award-winning artist Ashanti, 41. On Sunday (Jan. 30) during the AFC championship game between the Chiefs and the Bengals, Ashanti’s microphone stopped working properly while she was singing the national anthem.

However, the incident didn’t stop the ‘Rock Wit U’ singer’s performance. Thankfully, fans within the packed Arrowhead Stadium stepped in and helped Ashanti finish the song.

After the now-viral heartfelt moment occurred, many took to Twitter to share their reactions over what went down.
It’s unclear what caused the tech error during the live performance, but everything seemed fine earlier that day while Ashanti did a soundcheck.
