Bob Saget’s Family Files Lawsuit To Prevent Death Records Leak Amid Expert Claims That His Injuries Were Indicative Of Homicide
Bob Saget’s family sues the state of Florida.
Late comedian-actor Bob Saget’s two daughters and widow are suing the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, along with a coroner. Reports say that the Full House dad’s real-life family hopes the suit will prevent graphic photos from leaking.
The lawsuit reportedly states that releasing any records related to Bob’s death would be against Florida law.
They argue that sharing the records with the public would cause:
“irreparable harm in the form of extreme mental pain, anguish and emotional distress.”
Their court filing comes just a few days after the intricacies of the actor’s death were publicized. According to an autopsy, Bob suffered “blunt head trauma” that was possibly caused by an “unwitnessed fall.”
Although a medical examiner said he had “severe skull fractures,” his death was declared accidental.
Multiple experts have come forward to challenge the “accidental” theory. One doctor told an outlet that the severity of Bob’s injuries suggested a “baseball bat to the head” or a “fall from “20 or 30 feet” rather than a short stumble.
Bob Saget died on Jan. 10, 2022. He’d just finished a comedy show and hoped to continue his tour. At the time, his cause of death was unknown. He was 65-years-old.
