Keyshia Cole Reveals Incident That Ended Friendship W/ Eve: I Turned Around & Slapped The Girl, Eve Was Really Pissed Off About That

Keyshia Cole reflects on the demise of her friendship with Eve.

R&B singer Keyshia Cole recalled the incident that ended her friendship with rapper Eve. During her episode of TV One’s Uncensored, the “Let It Go” songstress revealed that things went sour after she defended the rapper.

Cole explained that the two were on an evening outing when a random woman clutched Eve’s purse.

In a clip, she said:

“I turned around and slapped the girl. Eve was really pissed off about that and we stopped hanging out. I just slapped someone for you, what the f**k is this?”

She continued:

“But it taught me a lot. I should have left that to security. Somebody gets paid for that, you know what I mean?”

Cole mentioned that her rough upbringing in Oakland, California impacted her reaction. Disrespect wasn’t tolerated in her neighborhood and often led to fights.

“When I came straight from Oakland, it was still in me…It took a long time [for me] to learn to not put my hands on people.”

She never mentioned where they stand today.

The episode, which aired on Feb. 6, also covers her year of losses. In 2021, Cole lost her mother, father, and 14-year-old dog Lola.
