Woman Who Bragged Online About Being ‘The Best Drunk Driver Ever’ Charged With Killing 2 Officers In Crash
A Pennsylvania woman has been accused of killing two state troopers in a drunk driving incident — and her tweets don’t help her case at all.
According to reports, 21-year-old Jayana Tanae Webb was arrested after striking and killing officers who had pulled her over for possibly driving under the influence. They stopped her car in the early hours of March 21, but left without arresting her after receiving an emergency call about a man walking on the highway.
They were assisting the man a couple of miles down the road when Jayana Tanae Webb reportedly went past at a high rate of speed and hit the three of them. Troopers Martin F. Mack and Branden T. Sisca and pedestrian Reyes Rivera Oliveras were all killed.
“Our department is heartbroken with the tragedy that occurred early this morning in Philadelphia,” police commissioner Robert Evanchick said in a statement. “We ask our fellow Pennsylvanians to keep the families of our troopers and the pedestrian in their thoughts. This is an extremely difficult time.”
Jayana Tanae Webb was reportedly hit with multiple charges, including “third-degree murder, homicide by vehicle while DUI, homicide by vehicle, manslaughter of a law enforcement officer in the second degree, [and] driving under the influence,” among other charges.
After her arrest, tweets were found where Webb had allegedly bragged about driving while drunk and other reckless behavior. In one, she wrote:
“If you ask me, I’m the best drunk driver ever.”
