Venus & Serena Williams’ Stepmother Asks Judge To Stop Her Divorce From Their Father Richard Williams, Says Their Marriage Is Not Broken: We Have Regular Weekly Sexual Relations
In the midst of the Will Smith and Chris Rock Oscar controversy, it looks like the real life ‘King Richard’ is going through a bit of drama of his own!
Reportedly, Venus and Serena Williams’ stepmother, Lakeisha Williams, 43, is trying to stop her divorce from their father, 80-year-old Richard Williams. Lakeisha has asked a judge in Palm Beach, Florida, to stop the divorce, saying she does not believe her marriage is irreparable broken. Lakeisha’s attorney Sara Lawrence wrote in court papers:
”The wife believes that the parties have reconciled and have engaged in an active marital life including having regular weekly sexual relations including but not limited to on January 9, 2022 the night before filing this motion.”
Lakeisha Williams even insists she and the father-of-nine are enjoying an active sex life despite his current medical condition and 37-year-age gap. While Richard has suffered several strokes over the past six years, it appears he is doing well.
Richard Williams married his third wife, Lakeisha in 2009, seven years after he divorced Venus and Serena’s mother, Oracene Price. They initially split in 2017 and share a 9-year-old son, Dylan Williams.
According to reports, Lakeisha Williams says the couple have been back together since August 2019 and since then, there has been ‘‘no discovery, no mediation and no real activity” in the divorce proceedings. She also added that they are raising their son together. Lakeisha’s attorney writes,
”The case is not ready for final hearing and during the period of dormancy, the parties have been raising their son now age 9 years old and whose needs have changed drastically since the filing of this matter in 2017 when the child was 5 years old.”
