“He belittled my brother. He had no respect for him. In my opinion, he embarrassed himself by doing that and his legacy by doing that.”

Chris Rock’s Brother Wants Academy to Revoke Will Smith’s ‘Best Actor’ Award & Ban Him From Attending Future Ceremonies: He Embarrassed Himself
The Rock brothers are standing united in their front against Will Smith.
Coincidental Killer actor Kenny Rock, 42, is calling on the Academy to revoke the Oscar Will Smith, 53, recently won for “Best Actor” due to slapping his brother, Chris Rock, 57, at the film ceremony on March 27. He also wants Will Smith banned from attending future Academy Award shows as well.
During a recent interview, Kenny Rock said it wasn’t until he watched videos and heard Will Smith cursing that he realized the moment was not staged. He then shared,
“It eats at me watching it over and over again because you’ve seen a loved one being attacked and there’s nothing you can do about it.”
Kenny Rock continued,
“Every time I’m watching the videos, it’s like a rendition that just keeps going over and over in my head. My brother was no threat to him and you just had no respect for him at that moment. You just belittled him in front of millions of people that watch the show.”
He also clarified that his brother did not know Set It Off actress Jada Pinkett-Smith, 50, has alopecia. He said,
“The joke was funny. It wasn’t hilarious funny, but I know that if he knew that she had alopecia … he wouldn’t make a joke about that. But he didn’t know.”
He added,
“I don’t accept [Will’s apology] because I don’t think it was genuine. I think his publicist and the people that work under him probably advised him to do that.”
As you may already know, Chris Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett-Smith during the 2022 Oscars. He said he was looking forward to seeing her star in the leading role in the next G.I. Jane movie, a reference to her shaved head due to an ongoing battle with alopecia. In his response to Chris’ joke, Will walked on stage and slapped him. He then retreated back to his seat next to his wife, where he said,
“Keep my wife’s name out of your f*cking mouth.”

Kenny isn’t the first Rock sibling to come to his brother’s defense. As previously reported, comedian/actor Tony Rock, 47, made it clear in a series of tweets that he is still not cool with Will.
Tony Rock also came for Will and his wife during a stand-up comedy show on April 1. He immediately addressed the Oscars incident and claimed that every time he sees Will it’s “on sight.” He also said that “it’s 10 of us” Rock brothers. Tony Rock added,
“I didn’t want to start the show like that! You gonna hit my motherf*cking brother because your b*tch gave you a side-eye?”

Despite Tony‘s jokes, Chris is actually the eldest of only seven siblings, six younger brothers, and a younger sister. Following the crazy slap incident, Will resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
