Orlando Brown Addresses Previous Comments About Nick Cannon Allegedly Offering Oral Sex: ‘We Squashed That’
It looks like Orlando Brown and Nick Cannon may have squashed their once publicized beef!
Orlando Brown, 34, appears to be doing much better these days and on a positive track. However, that doesn’t stop others from asking about his once troubled past. During a recent interview, the former Disney star was asked if he had any regrets over comments he made in past interviews. When asked about the beef between he and Nick Cannon, 41, Brown had this to say:
“I mean out of respect for Nick, bro, I’m gonna just leave that alone. We squashed that, you know what I mean…. I’m looking to be able to push the collectiveness. There’s strength in numbers…..I’m not trying to mess up how that man eat.”
Before his positive transformation, Orlando Brown was once known to perform outlandish antics on social media, due to what many attribute to alleged drug use and mental illness.
As previously reported, in January 2020, Brown shared a video in which he made accusations that TV personality/actor Nick Cannon once performed oral sex on him. Orlando can be heard saying:
“Don’t worry about it, Nick. Nick, okay- fine. You want me to tell everybody. You want me to let everybody know what happened- okay, fine. Nick, I let you suck my d*ck, okay? Fine, I’ll say it. I let Nick suck my d*ck, and I liked it. Nick, you sucked my d*ck, but everybody knows you did it as a female.”
As no surprise, the ‘Masked Singer’ host felt the need to defend himself and set the record straight. In a lengthy Instagram post, Nick Cannon said he viewed the video as a “cry out for help” from the actor. He also urged loved ones close to Orlando Brown to help him find the help he needs to address the actor’s perceived mental illness. Cannon wrote,
“When I first saw this I thought it was f**cking hilarious!!!! But then after putting a little cognitive effort and analytical thought to the situation, I figured what a great opportunity for a “teachable moment”! ..First off let me say I am praying for the young brother Orlando even though I don’t really know him personally, I have always loved and enjoyed his talent and have been a fan of his past work. He was f**cking brilliant in Major Payne, and had us all laughing on “Thats So Raven”. But this is another crucial example of when we allow our young artists to be prematurely exposed by this demonic business and left out to fend for themselves. We need better support systems for our youth and take care of our own.”
Cannon continued,
“I watched various of this young brothers videos and all I see is a cry out for help. So I don’t know if there are any real leaders or solid individuals in this young man’s life but let’s embrace him and tighten him up so he doesn’t become another lost victim to these hollywood circumstances. I indeed believe this brother has the God given talent to be on Wild N Out but this definitely ain’t the way to audition, this actually hurts my heart to see that we have allowed Orlando, along with various other young gifted performers we grew up loving, to just dwindle away after these corporations made their billions off of them.
Now due to substance abuse and diagnosed psychiatric disorders our loved ones are now aimlessly begging for the attention they were once given , instead of the help they actually need. All while we sit back and just laugh… The most irresponsible parties involved in all of this is our media, specifically the “culturally conscious”. For us to continue to post slander and tear one another down for click bait to make these white supremacy propagated platforms more money is asinine and deplorable.
He ends with,
These cannibalistic tactics only destroy “Us”. Really, in post like this, who wins??? We might chuckle, joke, pass the gossip on through our low frequency vibrations but does it truly make you feel good??? Especially knowing that there are higher powers looking down at you. So I hold @iheartradio @complex @worldstar “
Orlando Brown has since turned his life around and has made a recovery from his drug addiction. In September 2020, the ‘That’s So Raven” actor was spotted at a church sharing his testimony and thanking the church for helping him throughout his journey.
“I went through a lot, ya know- I experimented with crystal meth, with weed. I didn’t know what I was doing. I had an addiction to the internet. All kinds of stuff.”
He continued:
“My fiancée told me about this place and when I came it was amazing. I had a blast, these brothers accepted me for who I am. — I got a whole team of brothers now. The church is lovely. All the leaders are brilliant, their geniuses and men of God.”
