Trey Songz Has Been Cleared In Las Vegas Sexual Assault Case
“The LVMPD has concluded the investigation into the sexual assault allegations against Tremaine Neverson and determined that no criminal charges will be filed. If any new evidence comes to light, the case will be reopened for further investigation.”
Trey’s attorneys–David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld told sources they were “pleased” with the outcome.
“We are grateful to the LVMPD for the professional police work done and their thorough investigation, which included findings of inconsistency in witness testimony and insufficient evidence. We are pleased that Trey can now return to what he does best, entertaining.”
As previously reported, the alleged incident took place in November 2021 on Trey Songz’s 37th birthday, after he reportedly invited a group of women to his hotel room at The Cosmopolitan. Law enforcement officials claim that Trey Songz has been fully cooperative in the investigation at that time, and no arrests had been made over the matter.
While the “Love Faces” singer might be in the clear on this case, this isn’t the first time he’s been hit with sexual assault allegations. In 2021, Trey Songz and a woman who alleged the singer sexually assaulted her in a Miami nightclub reached a settlement agreement in her $10 million lawsuit against him. She sued him for $10 million for assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
Earlier this year, a woman by the name of Jahuara Jeffries filed a $20 million lawsuit against the singer, claiming he had raped her during a 2016 party in Los Angeles. The case is still ongoing.
