Will Smith Will Be ‘Flooded With Work Offers’ From ‘Smaller Budget Companies’ According To Industry Experts

It looks like Will Smith may have some luck on the small screen!

While it appears Will Smith’s career has taken a major hit since the fallout between him and Chris Rock at this years Oscars, it looks like the “King Richard” actor may have some luck on the small screen. According to industry experts, Will Smith is set to be

“flooded with work offers.”

Showbiz professionals have claimed the “I Am Legend” star could be lured to the small screen for a comeback –and will have offers to appear in lesser budget action films. With several of Smith’s upcoming projects placed on hold due to the controversial Oscars slap, the Best Actor winner may have to keep his options open and consider taking his talents to television.

Marketing consultant Jeff Kelly told sources,

“It appears too easy to write his [Will Smith] career off, his fate is a little more complicated.”

He explained,

“Smaller budget companies will want to bring him on board to make movies, most likely in the action genre, using his name and cache, which they believe audiences still value.”

The expert suggested Will Smith take some time off but that,

“there will be offers on the table from producers looking to work with him”.

From the looks of it, Smith’s other option for success is the small screen. Jeff Kelly explained,

“The Oscars centers on films, so TV networks hiring him in some capacity are not off the table.”

As previously reported, during this years Oscars award ceremony, Will Smith charged onto the stage and slapped comedian Chris Rock across the face. The assault came after Rock joked that he was looking forward to a sequel to “G.I. Jane,” starring Jada Pinkett Smith who recently shaved her head due to her battle with alopecia.

After sitting back down, Will Smith shouted at Rock to

“keep my wife’s name out of your f*** mouth.”

Although Will Smith issued a public apology and resigned from the Academy, a decision was made to ban the award winning actor from attending any Oscar award ceremonies for the next 10 years after hitting comedian Chris Rock.
