Idris Elba Is Back In The Running To Play James Bond
Idris Elba is reportedly in talks once again to be the new James Bond!
As previously reported, despite being a fan favorite, actor Idris Elba, 49, took a step back from his run to replace Daniel Craig, 54, in the popular “James Bond” franchise for a non-leading role. Producers had plans for the English actor to still appear in the next installment of the project, just as a villain. However, it now looks like his name is back in consideration to suit up as agent 007. Reportedly, producers have realized how popular Idris Elba is after carrying out secret market research. The “Luther” actor is ranked highly among the diverse group.

“James Bond” producer Barbara Broccoli confirmed back in January that Idris had been in consideration to take over the role.
She said:
“You know, he has been part of the conversation, but it’s always difficult to have a conversation when you have somebody in the seat.”
Per reports, producers are in no rush to name the next James Bond as they want to let the cast and crew enjoy Daniel Craig’s final movie “No Time To Die.’” However, Idris had an informal talk with the studio and was told that there is a role in the next Bond film for him if he wants it. Meanwhile, fans are excited to see Idris’ name back in the forefront as he trended on Twitter following the newest discussion of him being the next James Bond.
