Carl Crawford’s Son Selected By The Philadelphia Phillies In First Round Of The 2022 MLB Draft
Baseball success runs in the Crawford family’s bloodstream.
On Sunday (July 17) former MLB player turned music executive Carl Crawford took to Instagram to share his son’s, Justin Crawford, 17th overall pick in the 2022 Draft with the Philadelphia Phillies. Carl Crawford said:
“@phillies here we come!”
Carl Crawford also posted a picture of him and Justin Crawford, 18, letting his followers know how proud he was of his son. The 40-year-old said:
“Proud dad moment? God has blessed me once again ? Congratulations @justincarlcrawfordon being selected by the @phillies in the first round this years MLB amateur draft.#Crawfordbloodlines”

Carl is a former All-Star outfielder who played in the MLB for 15 years. He is now the CEO of 1501 Certified Entertainment, a Houston-based independent record label. The record executive is famously known for helping Megan Thee Stallion, 27, rise to mainstream media. Megan Thee Stallion signed with Carl’s record label in 2018. However, the pair have since had a public falling out.

Megan Thee Stallion
Carl wanted all the smoke with Megan Thee Stallion after she sued 1501 for allegedly stopping her from releasing new music. He recently reacted to an old video of his estranged artist sticking up her middle finger instead of rapping the lyric “I’m the 1501 queen,” while performing her song “Realer.”
Carl wasn’t happy with the “Hot Girl” skipping over the lyrics and posted on his Instagram story:
“See I really just be mining my business…Nah F*ck U Seahorse.” Song should be called Faker than Fake.”
Carl also dissed Megan Thee Stallion’s, born Megan Pete, manager as well:
“And F*ck T. Farris too u b*tch.”
