Ciara Explains To Her Son Future Zahir What ‘The Thing’ Means In Her Latest Song ‘Jump’

Ciara’s 8-year-old son Future Zahir recently had her thinking quickly on her feet!

Ciara, 36, isn’t afraid to be a little risqué with her music. One of the Grammy-Award-winning singer’s most popular tunes is “Goodies,” which is featured on her debut album of the same name. Other hits of hers include, “Ride,” “Body Party,” and “Dance like We’re Making Love.”

After a brief hiatus, Ciara is back in her music bag and gearing up to release her eighth studio album. She recently dropped the lead single from the project entitled “Jump.” During the mid-tempo dance song, Ciara sings,

“I know what you want from me / If you wanna have fun with me / Wanna be on the winning team”

She continues,

“You like it when I make the thing (jump) / You go wild when I make the thing (jump) / It get loud when I make the thing (jump) / It’s a party when I make the thing (jump, jump)”

It seems like Ciara’s oldest son Future Zahir heard the song and had some pressing questions for his famous mother. In a video shared by Ciara online, he asked,

“What does the thing mean in ‘Jump?’”

After laughing Ciara replied,

“So the thing can be like cars jumping – people jumping…”

Despite her best efforts to make the lyrics more kid-friendly, Future didn’t seem to believe his mom’s explanation. He said,

“Really mom?”

The music star laughed again and said,

“No, I’m serious.”

She added,

“I love you.”

As you may already know, Ciara shares baby Future with her ex-boyfriend, rapper Future, 38. She has two more children that she shares with her husband, NFL star Russell Wilson, 33.
