Deion Sanders Plans To Donate Half Of His Salary For New Jackson State Football Facility

Deion Sanders is making a big sacrifice to ensure the success of his football team! According to reports, the Jackson State football coach has agreed to donate half of his salary to expedite the renovations being done on the schools’ football operations facility. On Monday (July 18) Deion Sanders, 54, took to Instagram to reveal his selfless decision.In the five minute video which has garnered over 45,000 views as of Tuesday– Deion Sanders, alongside his business manager Constance Schwartz-Morini, first considers donating ¼ of his salary, but quickly changed his mind and raised the amount to 1/2 of his salary. He said,

“To get this done for these kids…I’ll put half on it to get this done. If you don’t believe me, check me. I will send you the receipts.”

The former NFL player reportedly signed a four-year deal with Jackson State University that garnered an average value of $300,000 per year in 2020. Now, it seems the 54-year-old is willing to give up a large amount of that money.

According to reports, Jackson State looks to finish construction on the new facility by Aug. 4, one day before the start of football camp and one month before the 2022 regular season kicks off. Once the renovations are completed, the facility will feature a new state-of-the-art locker room, coach’s offices, meeting areas and players lounge.
