Jak Knight’s tragic death caught Hollywood by surprise as fellow comedians mourn the loss of the rising star. Knight’s work in Hollywood included voicing the character of DeVon in Netflix’s adult sitcom “Big Mouth,” as well as serving as a writer for five seasons for the animation. He’s also credited as a writer for the ABC hit show “Black-ish.”

As far as Knight’s latest work, he executive produced, co-created, and starred in Peacock’s comedy series “Bust Down.” The show premiered in March and follows a group of four friends working low-wage jobs at a casino in Gary, Indiana. The series was only in its first season.

As a young comedian, Knight had already toured around the world performing standup comedy and even opened for the likes of Dave Chappelle. He was named a Comedy Central Comic to Watch in 2014 and he appeared on the Netflix standup series “The Comedy Lineup” in 2018.

We send our love and condolences to Jak Knight’s family and loved ones during this time.
