Angela Yee has confirmed that she will be of assistance in finding her new replacement on “The Breakfast Club.”

As previously reported, long-time radio host Angela Yee announced earlier today (August 10) that she’s stepping away from the morning radio show to head her own nationally syndicated show. “The Breakfast Club” mainstay Angela Yee revealed that she is leaving the syndicated morning show that she co-hosts with Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy to launch a midday radio show of her own.

In a new interview, popular radio personality Angela Yee, 46, recently shared that the search for a new female co-host to join DJ Envy and Charlamagne Tha God hasn’t officially begun yet. However, she said that now that her new venture has been announced, the show hosts can begin auditioning for her replacement.

During the interview, Angela noted that she’ll likely have a hand in the decision process, although the guys will have final say. When asked if she’s helped her co-hosts hunt for her replacement to fill her old chair, the hip-hop radio host said,

“Not yet. Only because we can’t even look until this all got announced and everything was top secret. And so, now that it’s announced we can start looking for somebody. But I’ll still be there during that whole process.”

Angela added,

“I mean obviously it’s for them to decide, and I’ll be there until they decide, and maybe I’ll be there helping while they audition people. But I think nothing is going to be set and stone until they feel the chemistry.”

When Angela was asked if she thought the show would go on to flourish in her absence, she said that it will while giving credit to her fellow hosts and their accolades. She shared,

“Yeah I think so. I mean everybody has come from different spaces and been successful for like, almost two decades. Maybe more than that because I’ve been doing radio for 18 years now.”
