JaRule Admits Feeling Uncomfortable Amid Irv Gotti Speaking Out On Ashanti: I Do Not Condone The Way Gotti Handled Things On Drink Champs
Ja Rule wants his name to be left out of the drama!

On Thursday (August 11), Murder Inc.’s artist Ja Rule took Instagram to share a message to his fans regarding his feelings towards Irv Gotti’s concerning comments about Ashanti. Ja Rule, born Jeffrey Bruce Atkins, shared:
“Brotherly love… The last few days have been very turbulent for me but it’s time to land the plane…”
The 46-year-old continued:
“I love my sis I love my bro but I DO NOT condone or agree with the behavior nor the way Gotti handled things on drink champs. I hope y’all understand how uncomfortable this is for me being in the middle of something I wish to not be…”
He added:
“Going forward all I ask is to be left out of this please and thank you!!! Sincerely Switzerland Bennett… #ICONN#Vibes”

Ashanti, born Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas, responded to her Murder Inc. colleague showing love with a few hearts and praying hands’ emojis.

As previously reported, Irv Gotti, born Irving Domingo Lorenzo Jr., and Ja Rule joined N.O.R.E in an episode of Drink Champs where Irv Gotti shared surprising information about his ex-girlfriend Ashanti, 41. The Murder Inc. CEO reminisced on being in love with the singer when she was moving on to date “Country Grammar” rapper Nelly.

Gotti also recalled Ashanti’s single “Happy” being created shortly after the two were intimate in bed. He said:
“Let me explain the relationship and how it worked, and how it worked to our advantage….We just finished sleeping together, or whatever, I’m taking a shower. I’m in the shower, you know, a n-gga be creative after [sex] … I think of the whole track in the shower.”
The 52-year-old continued:
“The energy, that record came about ’cause of our energy.”
Fans and artists like Fat Joe disagreed with the way Gotti handled his emotions on the podcast. On Instagram live, Fat Joe, born Joseph Antonio Cartagena, said:
“Whatever Irv has with Ashanti, is 20 years old. I know he was making some points that mean a lot to him..But, when you keep ranting about somebody 20 years later, it felt like he’s not over the young lady. Also we didn’t know that they was f**king. The whole time, I was there, on tour – I never seen them together like that.”
Fat Joe continued:
“I’m not saying they weren’t because they were, there were rumors that they were, I never seen it. But I don’t need to know! It’s okay if it’s a documentary, but to go on Drink Champs and call her a b*tch [and] keep disrespecting her [is wrong.]”
The 51-year-old added:
“I’m not the brother trying to stand up for Ashanti, Ja Rule was right next to him… I’m not telling stories about a girl I dated 20 years ago. In fact, I hope you die. Leave me alone….. So when you’re doing this, it looks like you’re caught up and not over the sh*t… On top of that, it brings less credibility to everything else you say.”
