Tank Addresses Bishop Who Had Harsh Criticism Over Beyonce’s New Song ‘Church Girl’: Who Are You Pastor To Question The Salvation Of Beyonce? [VIDEO]
It looks like Tank is stepping in to defend Queen Bey!
In the wake of Bishop Patrick Wooten’s video circulating the web, it looks like people are starting to speak up in defense of Beyonce. As previously reported, in a now-viral video, Bishop Wooten is seen speaking to his congregation about his disdain for Beyonce’s new song “Church Girl.” He not only appeared upset about the song’s message and lyrics but also because Queen Bey sampled the track from Twinkie Clark and the legendary Clark Sisters’ hit song “Center Of Thy Will.” He said:
“Beyonce just released sacrilege.. Somebody sold their soul to the devil… This piece of trash that’s been released, and she names it ‘Church Girl’. I thought to try to read the lyrics to you, but I struggled to listen to them. It’s too bad..It would be a desecration if read this. “
“To sample the song of a real church lady, Twinkie Clark.. I don’t know whether she knew what she was going to do with the song or not. But she knows she not saved… I pray to God that a stiff denunciation of what she did with that song is put out. It shows that we’re not speaking up. Nobody respects the church.”

“Who are you pastor to question the salvation of Beyonce? Who gives you the authority and that right to question what she believes in her heart because of a song sang on top of a Clark Sisters record… I’m just trying to make you understand that whatever world you are living in that seems to be above us is not a real one. “
“The judgement that you have casted. Assuming that this woman has sold her soul to the devil. Immediately, condemning her to hell. Where did you find this position? Who gave you God’s position?…”
“Pastor, you are throwing a lot of stones. I hope your leisure is squeaky clean. You talk as if you’re not one of us. You’re one of us. You are a sinner just like all of us. Saved by grace just like all of us. Underneath that robe and standing behind that pulpit, you reek of sin. You are a sinner saved by grace.”
“He without sin, cast the first stone. You won’t break my soul. “
