Tyrese Tells Critics ‘Don’t Tell Me What You Would & Wouldn’t Do For Your Teen’ In Defense Of Purchasing His Daughter, 15, A Rolls Royce
Tyrese Gibson‘s teenage daughter is rolling in style — and he doesn’t feel bad about it.
The singer/actor gifted his daughter Shayla, 15, a Rolls Royce Ghost so she could pull up to her high school in style for the upcoming school year. In an Instagram post, Tyrese Gibson celebrated the move and shared a few words for the haters.
He said,
“Don’t tell me what you would and or wouldn’t do for your teen…… When you really got it? Most 1% r’s will put 10 million in their child’s money market account at birth and let it grow interest by the time they turn 18 they will want for nothing….: Instantly become a monthly TRUST FUND BABY…. Shayla my first born just turned 15 she deserves the WHOLE WIDE WORLD!!!”

One Instagram user commented on Tyrese Gibson‘s post telling him the vehicle — which has a starting price of $340,500 for the 2022 model — was
“a bit much it’s the first day of school not a graduation lol”
In response, the “Baby Boy” actor said,
“this was her graduation… But I just might do this for her first day at school let me look into it now…. Great idea lol”

It appears Tyrese is in a good space with his daughter — and her mother Norma, who previously accused the actor of being physically abusive to their child. In one instance, which was revealed in 2017, Norma said he “pushed our daughter to the ground, pinned her face down, put his knees on her back, grabbed her hands with one arm and beat her with the other.” As a result, Tyrese was order to stay 100 yards away from the two.

The court order pushed the singer to make a tearful plea on social media, where he said,
“Don’t take my baby. This is all I got. Don’t take my baby, okay? I’ve been away from my baby for two months. I just want my baby and no one’s listening cause no one’s in the courtroom.”
Fast forward a couple of years later, the “Fast and the Furious” actor was previously prohibited from putting Shayla on his social media profiles in accordance with a court order following his split from her mother. In fact, in an Instagram post celebrating her 12th birthday in 2019, he uploaded pictures with his daughter’s face blurred.

Tyrese and Shayla’s mother, Norma, divorced in 2009. In 2017, he tied the knot with Samantha Lee-Gibson, who is the mother of his three-year-old daughter Soraya Lee Gibson. The two are currently going through a divorce.
