Kendrick Lamar Drops Highly-Anticipated Short Film For ‘We Cry Together’ Featuring Actress Taylour Paige
Kendrick Lamar is making headlines with the drop off of his new short film for his song “We Cry Together” featuring actress Taylour Paige.
According to reports, this week (September 1), Kendrick Lamar released the video for his most-talked about song from his new album “Mr. Morale & the High Steppers,” which is being described as a short film. The 35-year-old rapper dropped the short film in both censored and uncensored versions for the song that stars himself and Taylour Paige, 31.
The short film finds the two of them arguing in a small apartment, with Taylour Paige on her way to work and Kendrick Lamar in a low-wage job shirt with “Dante S.” on the name tag. The singer/song-writer sported a backward baseball cap with the combined logos of the Los Angeles Dodgers and his own company, pgLang.

Lamar’s song, “We Cry Together,” is reportedly set up like a dramatic play in terms of how the narrative structure sounds like an argument between Lamar and Paige rather than a normal song. In the short film, the two enact the song’s lyrics, which finds them exchanging,
“F*ck you, b*tch / F*ck you, n*gga.”
Earlier today, Paige spoke on the making of the short film via her IG stories and noted it as one of her “favorite days.” She wrote,
“Today will go down as one of my favorite days I’ve ever lived next to when we recorded and shot this because now it’s out”
