DaniLeigh Explains She Didn’t Want To Do ‘Wild N’ Out’ w/ B. Simone Because The Comedian Previously Released A Diss Track About Her, Singer Also Alludes To Finding Inappropriate Texts Between Simone & Her Ex, DaBaby

R&B artist DaniLeigh is speaking out about recent reports involving her ex DaBaby and comedian B. Simone.

Earlier this week, rumors began swirling that the 27-year-old “Easy” singer had Wild N’ Out comedian B. Simone removed from the episode when she guest appeared, due to Simone’s alleged romantic relationship with rapper DaBaby. Jonathan ‘DaBaby‘ Kirk, 30, and DaniLeigh infamously dated back in 2020 and share a daughter together. Following the report, B. Simone, real name Braelyn Simone, 32 appeared on the Tamron Hall Show where she confirmed the claims were true and dubbed DaniLeigh as “not that mature.” Now, Dani is clearing the air and telling her side of the story.

On the live video posted to her Instagram, Dani explained that despite what blogs have reported, she never demanded the comedian be removed. She stated:

“From the jump it was never a demand, I don’t know why the blogs are seeding it to put it out that I demanded B. Simone not to be on Wild N’ Out, wasn’t the case….I love Wild N’ Out shows I’ve always supported Nick, I’ve always supported comedians on the show,”

She continued:

“Me and B. Simone are not cool…My team asked if it’s cool she doesn’t do the episode that I do. Respectfully….I thought it’d be more mature to have us not sitting next to each other on a show making it mad awkward and uncomfortable….I’m protecting my peace I’m protecting my heart on the situation. It wasn’t petty. She was actually there so I’m sure she got paid. It wasn’t to take away money from nobody’s pocket.”

The musician continued, addressing Simone’s previous diss track seemingly aimed at her, and stated that people don’t know the details of the entire “real life” situation behind the scenes. Dani also claims to have found seemingly inappropriate messages between Simone and DaBaby. She stated:

“She just did a whole diss song about me, I didn’t say nothing about it. I seen text messages between him and her, I didn’t say nothing about it. And that’s what it was….I’m handling the situation maturely because….I’m not say anything….She on a TV interview…trying to make this a whole whatever and it just is what it is. I don’t even want to talk about it.”

Dani went on to express how she’s been exhausted from touring her album 4 Velour and being away from her 1-year-old daughter who the project is named after. The musician added she wouldn’t have done the Wild N’ Out episode if she knew drama would be the result. She stated:

“I’m on tour, I’m f*cking tired. I’m, taking time away from my baby….to just work and do what I gotta do. I feel like the devil just wants to follow me and just – I don’t know, clown me,”

She continued:

“Real life stuff has happened. You guys don’t know details. If I don’t want to be around somebody it ain’t no diva thing it’s just ‘hey is it cool she’s not on this episode’. I don’t think it was that deep. I’m sorry….I really wouldn’t have did the episode if I would’ve known all this would’ve came out of it. I’d rather have not done it.”

After posting the live, Dani went to the comments with a little more to say. Following her live response, B. Simone seemingly responded by reposting DaBaby’s recent song “Boogeyman” on her Instagram live story with a goat emoji attached. Subsequently, Dani went to the comments section of a blog reporting on the story and wrote:

“But I’m immature … I never said anything to this girl.. and she really went to the studio to write this weak ass song .. ok.”
