NBA Star Draymond Green Caught On Camera Punching Jordan Poole During Warriors Practice [VIDEO]

It looks like things turned violent between teammates Draymond Green and Jordan Poole!

On Wednesday (Oct. 5) Draymond Green and Jordan Pool got into a physical altercation while at practice at the Golden State Warriors facility. In video footage obtained by sources, the two men were seen trash talking each other and sparring insults. Things took a turn for the worse when Green walked over to Poole and got in his face. Poole then reacts by pushing Green who then punches Poole in the face, knocking him down to the ground. Several people then intervened to break up the altercation.

Warriors general manager Bob Myers says Draymond Green apologized to the Golden State Warriors on Thursday morning for the altercation with Jordan Poole. According to reports, Green subsequently left the training facilities and is not expected back until Saturday (Oct. 8). The Warriors are still in the process of disciplining Green, however, Myers said he does not expect him to miss any games due to the incident.

Myers had this to say:

“These things happen. Nobody likes it, we don’t condone it, but it happens. Draymond apologized to the team. Jordan was there in the room. … As far as any suspension, punishment, fine, we will handle that internally.”

As for the reason behind the fight, Myers said upcoming contract negotiations for both Green and Poole did not play a role in the altercation, and he has not observed any change in behavior from either player leading up to the incident.

Both Warriors coach Steve Kerr and point guard Stephen ‘Steph’ Curry shared the same sentiment. Kerr said,

“There was a report that Jordan had an attitude in camp, and that could not be further from the truth. He’s been fantastic.”

Curry added:

“[Poole] has been great, and there was nothing that warranted the situation yesterday. I want to make that clear.”

While Wednesday’s incident was unfortunate Bob Myers seems optimistic that the team will get past it and get back on track. He explained,

“It’s unfortunate, I’m not going to deny it. It’ll take some time to move through, but we’ll move through it and move forward. And I’m confident that we will. … This isn’t our first thing that’s happened, first sense of adversity. We’ve been through some of this before. Don’t like going through it but it’s part of the NBA and it’s part of sports.”
